Provide short and long term planning for BluEnt Solution's technologies and supporting environment across multiple disciplines and service areas.
Provide leadership cross-functionally to develop BluEnt Solution's technology services maturity within an ITIL framework, with focus on infrastructure management including technology inventory and configuration management, including methodologies, practices, and processes. Work with functions within Omgeo and its corporate parents to enhance procedures across all IT Service Management (ITSM) domains.
Responsibilities:
- Lead infrastructure inventory initiatives within Technology. Develop infrastructure inventory and configuration management database competencies and capabilities.
- Lead initiatives to mature ITIL services delivery within Omgeoss Product Development and Technology Operations. Initially facilitate cross-functional effort to advance internal processes for performing configuration management, change management, release management.
- Serve as lead and/or liaison on cross-function development and operations teams to facilitate adoption and assure compliance with appropriate ITSM standards, policy and practice generally and relating to capacity, performance, availability and continuity specifically.
- Work with Architecture and Security groups to translate direction and standards into concepts/projects.
- Identify technical and operational risks and recommend appropriate resolutions to senior management.
- Contribute to and lead projects or other types of initiatives at both the functional and Portfolio level.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience leading and performing ITIL and/or ITSM processes/procedures, especially configuration management, change management and release management
- Prior experience in high volume transactional (OLTP) and web services front end systems (required) in a financial services industry setting (preferred
- Expertise across multiple IT service disciplines and technologies
Technical experience in the following areas:
- ITIL and ITSM service oriented frameworks
- Change and release management and inventory and configuration management tools (ChangeMan, CVS, etc.)
- Configuration database systems (CMDBs) from industry leaders such as Relacore Clarity, Mercury MAM, or Appilog)
- Hardware (SUN/IBM/Intel)
- Operating Systems (Unix or Linux)
- System Management Frameworks (HP OpenView, IBM Tivoli)
- High volume transactional systems
